The duplex grade is quite similar to the austenitic grade of stainless steel, but the Duplex 2205 Instrumentation Manifold Valve has superior strength and ductility. The Duplex Stainless Steel Instrument Solenoid Valve can be used in applications that are susceptible to chloride ion related stress corrosion cracking. Unlike the stainless steel, duplex material does not get stress corrosion cracking when the UNS S32205 3 Way Manifold Valve is exposed to tensile stress. Also, high temperature does not affect the material which is why it is not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.

The UNS S31803 2 Way Manifold Valve is manufactured so as to ensure that the fluid coming from upstream does not get mixed with the contents of downstream. The ASTM A479 UNS S31803 Hydraulic Manifold Valve has both austenitic and ferritic phases in its microstructure. That is why they have higher strength even with lower weight, which saves a lot of costs. The ASTM A276 Type 2205 Manifold Control Valve is quite well-known for offering better price stability when compared to valves made with other types of material.
